With the iPhone 6S and new Nexus phones hogging most of the limelight over the last few weeks the upcoming Microsoft 950XL hasn’t grabbed too many headlines but today we see the device in full thanks to a leaked factory render that shows a CAD diagram of the device. The leak comes from @onleaks and the image is most likely one used during the device’s manufacturing process.
In terms of dimensions, the Lumia 950 XL will come in at 151.9 x 78.4 x 7.8 mm. Although it is slightly thicker at the top as the camera hump measures 9.9 mm at its thickest point. The CAD diagram doesn’t provide any indication of weight.
Based on those dimensions the Lumia 950 XL will be a pretty large device, and it is just a touch shorter than the Galaxy Note 5 but a little wider. Under the hood we have a good idea that the 950 XL will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable memory, and a 5.7” QHD display. The camera is a 20 megapixel PureView camera, 3,300mah battery, USB Type-C port, and there will also be support for Qi wireless charging.
All being well we will be seeing this new device go official on October 6 in New York City. The Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 550 will also be unveiled alongside the Lumia 950 XL.
