Huawei’s subsidiary Honor has officially announced its Honor 9 smartphone in China as promised earlier. The recently unveiled Honor 9 is the successor to the last year’s Honor 8 which had abundant popularity due to its dual rear camera setup and classic back design. The Honor 9 likewise includes a dual rear back camera setup, coordinates organization’s own particular octa-center Kirin 960 chipset, ceramic fingerprint sensor and has 6GB of RAM.
The Huawei Honor 9 boasts a 5.15” 1080p display, with DCI-P3 color space (also used on the iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8). It’s the window to its Android 7.0 Nougat soul (with EMUI 5.1 on top). Storage is a choice between 64GB and 128GB, both expandable (hybrid SIM slot).
The Honor 9 emphasizes a dual rear camera setup which is its essential highlight. It has got a 12MP and 20MP dual rear camera setup with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. The front-facing camera of the smartphone is of 8-megapixel and the device packs a large 3,200mAh battery which has got a fast charging support. As far as the connectivity terms are concerned the smartphone has a 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC support as well as it has got Huawei pay support.
The phone’s metal body has a glass back and will come in Grey, Blue and Amber Gold. And the Honor 9 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will retail for 2299 yuan ($ 338), while the 2699 yuan (US$ 397) for 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The higher-end variant i.e with 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs 2999 yuan (US$ 441) The smartphone will be available from June 16 from Jingdong, Lynx, and Vmall. For comparison, the P10 (64GB) is CNY 3,800.
